These terms and conditions apply to both clinic consultations and online consultations, apart from point 6 of the Confidentiality Policy (related to COVID-19 contact tracing) which only applies to clinic appointments.
The therapy is confidential, supervised, therapy by a qualified professional who attends regular training and is a Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association. Lisa Billingham is bound by the strict ethics of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association.
Therapy can be terminated at your request, when you return to full functionality, or when a referral is made, whichever is in your best interest.
Depending on the issues that you wish to resolve during your therapy, Lisa may advise you to make an appointment with your GP or specialist medical practitioner prior to commencing therapy. This is to help ensure that there is no undiagnosed medical cause of your issues. If this is advised, you are required to do this prior to commencing therapy.
Health Insurance Cover and Fee Agreement
You are fully responsible for the payment of all fees. You must make full payment for each session by the end of the session. You are responsible for billing your own insurance company if you believe you have appropriate cover.
Treatment packages are available which offer a group of sessions at a discounted rate and / or with extra inclusions such as MP3 recordings. In this case, the total cost of the package can be paid after the first session. This allows you to satisfy yourself that you wish to proceed with the package.
When undergoing therapy please note that the outcome depends on many factors related to both therapist and client, and so (in common with many other therapies) your desired results cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation, Re-scheduling and No-show Policy
You agree to maintain responsibility regarding appointment times.
There will be no charge if you give more than 24 hours notice when cancelling or re-scheduling an appointment. Please cancel or re-schedule appointments by phone or SMS to 0403 932311, or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lisa will always acknowledge cancellation requests received via SMS, email and voice message left on her phone number. If you have not received this acknowledgement by 24 hours prior to your appointment, please phone Lisa directly on 0403 932311 to ensure she has received your cancellation.
Lisa spends time before each appointment in planning and preparation so that you get the most from the session. If you cancel or reschedule any appointment less than 24 hours beforehand, you may be charged a fee for the appointment. This is because of the preparation already completed, and also because it is unlikely that the session time will be used by another client at short notice. In the case of prepaid appointments, you may forfeit the agreed appointment. Most insurance companies will not reimburse you for this.
You can request reminders (email 24 hours prior to your appointment, and SMS 12 hours before your appointment). However, this policy will still apply even if you do not receive the email or SMS for any reason.
If you are ‘running late’, please contact Lisa on 0403 932311 to keep her informed of your likely arrival time. If you cannot reschedule to a later time during the same day, you may be charged a fee for the missed appointment.
All hypnotherapist’s records and contracts with clients will be held in strict confidence.
Clients who book clinic appointments will have their first and last names disclosed to Clinic Reception staff to allow management of appointments.

It is agreed that you will make effort in good faith at personal growth and engage in the therapy as an important priority. You agree to undertake any tasks (e.g. listening to hypnosis recordings) required between sessions to the best of your ability, as this is an important part of the therapy.
